Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup tonkatsu sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Set up a dredging station: place flour in one bowl, whisk eggs in another, and pour panko breadcrumbs into a third.
  4. Coat each chicken breast in flour, dip in egg, then press into panko until fully coated.
  5. Arrange coated chicken on the baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach at least 165°F).
  6. Let rest for a few minutes before slicing; serve drizzled with tonkatsu sauce.
