- 1 lb ground turkey (dark meat preferred)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 sub rolls
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well using your hands.
- Roll the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs (about 2 inches in diameter) and place them on the prepared baking sheet with space between each.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Slice the sub rolls open without cutting all the way through. Place several meatballs in each roll and top with shredded mozzarella.
- Return the assembled subs to the oven for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
