  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and granulated sugar until smooth. Remove from heat and whisk in cocoa powder. Mix in flour and eggs one at a time until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract until creamy.
  4. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spread cheesecake mixture over it, then top with remaining brownie batter and swirl together.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean. Let cool before slicing.
