Ingredients

  • 4 slices walnut bread
  • 2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice walnut bread into thick pieces and brush both sides lightly with olive oil.
  3. Place the bread on a baking sheet and toast for about 10 minutes or until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
  4. While the bread is toasting, wash and slice pears thinly.
  5. Once toasted, layer each slice of bread with pear slices and crumbled Gorgonzola cheese. Drizzle with honey.
  6. Return to the oven for another 5-7 minutes until cheese is slightly melted.
  7. Serve garnished with fresh thyme.
