  • 2 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Layer the sliced potatoes in the baking dish, slightly overlapping each slice.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; heat gently without boiling.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in most of the cheddar cheese.
  5. Pour the cheese sauce evenly over the potatoes and top with panko breadcrumbs and reserved cheese.
  6. Bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
