  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder (optional)

Instructions

  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract.
  5. Alternately mix in dry ingredients with milk until just combined.
  6. Divide batter between pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely before frosting.
