This easy recipe features perfectly cooked shrimp tossed with fettuccine in a rich, garlicky Alfredo sauce infused with zesty Cajun spices. Ideal for a cozy weeknight dinner or impressing guests at a gathering, this dish is as satisfying as it is quick to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add shrimp and half of the Cajun seasoning. Cook for about 3 minutes per side until pink. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream while scraping up bits from the pan. Stir in Parmesan until melted.
  4. Return shrimp to the skillet with cooked pasta, mixing gently while adding reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving hot.
