- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add shrimp and half of the Cajun seasoning. Cook for about 3 minutes per side until pink. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream while scraping up bits from the pan. Stir in Parmesan until melted.
- Return shrimp to the skillet with cooked pasta, mixing gently while adding reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving hot.
