Description

Cheesecake Danish is a delightful pastry that combines the flakiness of puff pastry with a rich, creamy cheesecake filling. Topped with a sweet icing and sometimes fresh berries, this treat is perfect for brunch or as a decadent dessert. With a quick preparation time and minimal ingredients, you can easily impress your guests or indulge in a sweet moment alone.

Ingredients

  • Puff Pastry Sheets
  • Full-Fat Cream Cheese
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Egg Yolk
  • Icing Sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry sheets on a floured surface and cut into squares.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg yolk until smooth.
  4. Spoon the mixture onto the center of each pastry square; fold corners toward the center and pinch to seal.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool slightly, then drizzle icing over each Danish before serving.

Notes

Keep ingredients cold to ensure optimal flakiness in the pastry.

Experiment with toppings such as fresh fruit or nuts for added flavor.

Avoid overfilling pastries to prevent spills during baking.
