- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking oil for frying
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, combine flour and cornstarch. Dredge the chicken pieces until fully coated.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sauté the chicken in batches until golden brown (6-8 minutes per side).
- In another bowl, whisk together soy sauce, orange juice, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger.
- Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken in the skillet and simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
