Ingredients

Scale
  • 400g firm tofu
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 46 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu for 15-20 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into one-inch cubes.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add the tofu in a single layer. Sauté until golden brown on all sides, about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic, soy sauce, and honey (or maple syrup) to the skillet. Stir and simmer for an additional 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Toss in chopped green onions and red pepper flakes if desired.
  5. Serve warm, drizzling any remaining sauce over the tofu.
