  • 3 ripe bananas (medium-sized)
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until chunky.
  3. Add eggs, sugar, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the bananas; whisk until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; mix well.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; do not overmix.
  6. To create the marbled effect, scoop half of the batter into another bowl and stir in additional cocoa powder if desired. Alternate scoops of each batter into the loaf pan and swirl lightly with a knife.
