Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (1 lb) brioche dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons fresh sage leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare your dough: Allow store-bought brioche dough to rest as per package instructions or let homemade dough rise until doubled in size.
  2. Make the honey butter: In a bowl, beat together softened butter and honey until creamy. Stir in chopped sage and sea salt.
  3. Shape the rolls: Divide the brioche dough into equal pieces and shape them into small balls (about 2 inches in diameter). Place them in a greased baking dish.
  4. Let them rise: Cover with a kitchen towel and let rise in a warm place for about 30-45 minutes until puffed.
  5. Bake: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Brush with honey butter: Remove from oven and brush with remaining honey butter while warm.
