  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ cup green onions, cut into similar lengths as chicken
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sake
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken and green onions.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sake, mirin, and brown sugar to create the marinade.
  3. Marinate chicken for at least 30 minutes.
  4. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes.

  7. Baste with leftover marinade during the last few minutes of grilling.
