- 1 packet (1 oz) French onion soup mix
- 2 medium sweet onions, sliced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef with half of the French onion soup mix and garlic powder; season with salt and pepper. Form into 1-inch meatballs.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté sliced onions until golden brown (10-15 minutes).
- Place meatballs in the crockpot; add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and remaining soup mix. Top with sautéed onions.
- Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until meatballs are tender.
- To thicken the sauce, remove half a cup of liquid from the crockpot, whisk in flour, and return it for another hour on high.
- Serve garnished with fresh parsley.
