Ingredients
  

Main Dishes
  • 10 lbs Beef Brisket Trimmed and seasoned
  • 5 lbs Chicken Thighs Marinated in BBQ sauce
Sides
  • 5 cups Coleslaw Prepared with a tangy dressing
  • 4 cups Potato Salad Classic recipe with mustard and mayo
  • 3 lbs Corn on the Cob Grilled and brushed with butter
Desserts
  • 2 cups Watermelon Cut into stars using a cookie cutter
  • 24 cookies Red, White, and Blue Cookies Decorated with icing
Drinks
  • 2 gallons Lemonade Freshly squeezed
  • 1 gallon Iced Tea Sweetened or unsweetened

Method
 

Prepare the Main Dishes
  1. Season the beef brisket and marinate the chicken thighs in BBQ sauce. Let them sit for at least 1 hour.
  2. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Cook the brisket for about 6 hours, and the chicken thighs for 30-40 minutes, turning occasionally.
Prepare the Sides
  1. Mix the coleslaw ingredients in a large bowl and refrigerate until serving.
  2. Combine the potato salad ingredients in another bowl and chill.
  3. Grill the corn on the cob for about 10 minutes, turning until charred.
Prepare the Desserts
  1. Cut the watermelon into star shapes and arrange on a platter.
  2. Decorate the cookies with red, white, and blue icing and let them set.
Prepare the Drinks
  1. Make the lemonade by mixing fresh lemon juice, water, and sugar to taste. Chill before serving.
  2. Brew the iced tea and serve with ice and lemon slices.
