  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 large eggs room temperature
  • 0.75 cup Bailey's Irish Cream
  • 0.5 cup milk
For the Frosting
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup Bailey's Irish Cream

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
Mixing Ingredients
  1. Mix together the dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar in another bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then pour in the Bailey's Irish Cream.
  4. Combine the wet and dry mixtures slowly, stirring gently until just incorporated.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  2. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Cool the cake in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Glaze
  1. Whisk powdered sugar and Bailey's Irish Cream together in a small bowl until smooth.
  2. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake.
