Ingredients
  

Dip Base
  • 1 can refried beans about 15 oz
  • 1 cup sour cream for creaminess
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese plus more for topping
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese for a melty texture
  • 1 packet taco seasoning for flavor
Toppings
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions for garnish
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives optional
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro for freshness

Method
 

Prepare the Dip
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the refried beans, sour cream, cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, and taco seasoning. Mix until well combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish and spread it evenly.
Bake the Dip
  1. Sprinkle additional cheddar cheese on top of the dip.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  3. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
Serve
  1. Top with sliced green onions, black olives, and cilantro before serving.
  2. Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Notes

This dip can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving. Adjust the spice level by using mild or spicy taco seasoning.
