Ingredients
  

Duck Confit
  • 4 legs Duck legs Preferably duck legs confit
  • 2 cups Duck fat For cooking
  • 1 teaspoon Salt For seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper Freshly ground
  • 2 sprigs Thyme Fresh
Crostini
  • 1 baguette Baguette Sliced into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil For brushing
Toppings
  • 1/2 cup Arugula Fresh
  • 1/4 cup Balsamic reduction For drizzling
  • 1/4 cup Goat cheese Crumbled

Method
 

Prepare Duck Confit
  1. Season the duck legs with salt, pepper, and thyme. Place them in a baking dish and cover with duck fat.
  2. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 225°F (107°C) for 2 hours or until the meat is tender.
  3. Remove the duck from the fat and let it cool. Shred the meat, discarding the bones and skin.
Make Crostini
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
  3. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Assemble Crostini
  1. Top each crostini with shredded duck confit, a few arugula leaves, and crumbled goat cheese.
  2. Drizzle with balsamic reduction before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of fresh herbs like parsley or chives on top before serving.
