  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 cup edible gold or silver sprinkles

Method

Baking the Cookies
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl: combine flour, baking soda, and salt until well blended.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar together in a separate bowl until fluffy and pale, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Combine the wet and dry ingredients gradually, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Decorating the Cookies
  1. Melt chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in short bursts, stirring until smooth.
  2. Dip each cookie into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off before placing on parchment paper to set.
