Ingredients
  

For the Asparagus
  • 1 pound fresh asparagus Choose firm, vibrant green stalks.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Use good quality extra virgin.
  • to taste salt Sea salt or kosher salt works best.
  • to taste black pepper Freshly cracked for best flavor.
For the Marinade
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced.
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice Freshly squeezed.
  • to taste Parmesan cheese Optional, grated.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the asparagus under cool running water and trim the tough ends, about an inch from the bottom.
  2. In a large bowl, drizzle the asparagus with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss gently until well-coated.
Grilling
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, around 400°F.
  2. Place the seasoned asparagus directly on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until bright green and slightly tender.
  3. Remove from the grill and transfer to a serving platter. Optionally, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and top with grated Parmesan.

Notes

Ensure the grill is hot before adding asparagus for the best results.
