Ingredients
  

Stuffed Peppers
  • 4 pieces Bell Peppers Any color
  • 1 pound Ground Beef 80/20 lean
  • 1 cup Cooked Rice White or brown
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce Plus extra for topping
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Cheddar or mozzarella
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Drain excess fat, then stir in cooked rice, tomato sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Mix well until combined and heated through.
Stuffing and Baking
  1. Stuff each bell pepper with the beef and rice mixture.
  2. Place the stuffed peppers upright in a baking dish and pour extra tomato sauce over the top.
  3. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  4. Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
  5. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
