Ingredients

For the Sliders
  • 1 package (12-count) King's Hawaiian sweet dinner rolls
  • 1 lb deli roast beef (thinly sliced or shaved)
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese (or Gruyère)
  • 1 large sweet Vidalia onion (thinly sliced & caramelized in 1 tbsp olive oil)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise or horseradish aioli (optional spread)
For the Garlic Herb Butter Glaze
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely minced)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning (optional topping)
For the Quick Dipping Au Jus
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef bone broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 sprig fresh thyme or rosemary

Method

Assembly & Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray or butter.
  2. Without separating individual rolls, slice the entire sheet of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally using a long serrated knife. Place the bottom half into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Layer 6 slices of provolone cheese evenly over the bread. Pave the thinly shaved roast beef generously across the cheese, then distribute the caramelized onions on top. Cover with 6 slices of Swiss cheese and crown with the top half of the rolls.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk melted butter, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, chopped parsley, and onion powder. Brush lavishly over the tops of the rolls, allowing butter to seep down between the crevices. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
  5. Cover the dish loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 5 to 7 minutes until the tops are golden brown, crisp, and the cheese is fully melted and bubbling.
Au Jus & Serving
  1. While sliders bake, combine beef bone broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and thyme in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a gentle simmer for 5 minutes, then discard thyme sprig.
  2. Use a sharp knife to cut sliders along the seams into individual sandwiches. Pour warm au jus into individual dipping ramekins and serve hot immediately!
