Ingredients
  

For the Crust
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter substitute with margarine if needed
  • 2 large eggs for best results
  • 1 teaspoon salt
For the Filling
  • 1 pound ground beef can mix in ground pork
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese substitute with cottage cheese if necessary
  • 1 cup spinach fresh or frozen, drained properly
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated is best
For Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Prepare the pie crust by rolling it out on a floured surface until it's about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Mix your filling in a large bowl. Combine ground meats, cheeses, and spices until well blended.
  4. Fill the pie crust with your meat mixture, spreading it evenly across the base.
  5. Cover the filling with another layer of rolled-out dough, sealing the edges tightly.
  6. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape during baking.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  8. Cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve with a side of tangy marinara sauce for dipping.
