Ingredients
  

Brisket
  • 3 pounds beef brisket trimmed
Sauce
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce your favorite brand
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Vegetables
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced

Method
 

Prepare the Brisket
  1. Season the brisket with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  2. Sear the brisket in a hot skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
Combine Ingredients
  1. In the slow cooker, combine the barbecue sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar.
  2. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic to the sauce mixture.
Cook the Brisket
  1. Place the seared brisket on top of the sauce mixture in the slow cooker.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the brisket is tender.
Serve
  1. Remove the brisket from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  2. Serve with the sauce and your favorite sides.
