Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced can substitute with canned peaches
  • 1 cup sugar adjust based on sweetness of peaches
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice to enhance flavor
Topping
  • 1 box yellow cake mix any brand
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts optional, for added crunch

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, and lemon juice. Mix well and spread evenly in the bottom of the baking dish.
Prepare the Topping
  1. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the peach mixture. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix. If using, sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
Serve
  1. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

This dessert is best served warm and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
