Ingredients
  

Fresh Ingredients
  • 2 cups fresh pineapple, diced Use ripe pineapple for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped Optional, adjust to taste.
  • 1 medium jalapeño, seeded and minced Adjust for spice preference.
  • 1 lime juiced Fresh lime juice is recommended.
Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Freshly ground is best.

Method
 

Prepare the Ingredients
  1. Dice the fresh pineapple, red bell pepper, and red onion. Mince the jalapeño and chop the cilantro.
Mix the Salsa
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced pineapple, red bell pepper, red onion, cilantro, jalapeño, and lime juice.
Season and Serve
  1. Add salt and black pepper to the mixture. Stir well to combine. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve immediately or refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

This salsa can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for grilled fish or chicken.
