Ingredients
  

Fresh Ingredients
  • 2 cups fresh pineapple, diced Use ripe pineapple for best flavor.
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 medium jalapeño, seeded and minced Adjust to taste for spiciness.
  • 1 medium lime, juiced Freshly squeezed for best flavor.
Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Freshly ground preferred.

Method
 

Prepare the Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced pineapple, red bell pepper, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño.
Mix and Season
  1. Add the lime juice, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Toss everything together until well combined.
Serve
  1. Let the salsa sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve with grilled meats or tortilla chips.

Notes

This salsa can be made a few hours in advance and stored in the refrigerator. Stir before serving.
