Ingredients
  

Beef
  • 1 pound beef sirloin sliced thinly against the grain
Vegetables
  • 1 cup bell peppers sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup carrots sliced
  • 1 cup snap peas
Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce low sodium preferred
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for thickening
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon ginger minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons green onions sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds toasted

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the beef sirloin thinly against the grain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the vegetables by slicing the bell peppers, carrots, and trimming the broccoli and snap peas.
  3. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, water, ginger, and garlic to create the sauce.
Cooking
  1. Heat the wok over high heat and add a tablespoon of oil.
  2. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned.
  3. Add the vegetables and stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  4. Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables, stirring to coat evenly. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Serve with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
