For the Batter
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Eggs room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract pure
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
For the Mix-ins
  • 1 cup Robin egg candies
  • 1/2 cup Chopped nuts optional, walnuts or pecans

Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the melted butter and brown sugar together in a large bowl until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, stirring until well combined.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl and whisk well.
  5. Fold the dry mix into the wet ingredients gently until just combined.
  6. Stir in your colorful Robin Egg candies, folding them carefully.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  8. Bake at 350°F for about 20-25 minutes until the edges are golden brown but still soft in the center.
  9. Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before slicing into squares or rectangles.

Notes

Optional: Drizzle with melted white chocolate for an extra touch of sweetness.
