Preparation
- Boil the eggs: Place your eggs in a pot, cover them with cold water, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, cover and let them sit for 12 minutes before transferring them to an ice bath.
- Peel the eggs: After cooling for about 5-10 minutes in the ice bath, gently tap each egg on a hard surface and peel under running water for easier removal of the shell.
- Prepare the filling: Halve the peeled eggs lengthwise and scoop out the yolks into a bowl. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and seasonings. Mix until creamy and well-combined.
- Fold in shrimp: Chop cooked shrimp into small pieces and fold them gently into the yolk mixture.
- Pipe or spoon filling: Use a piping bag or a spoon to fill each egg white half with your shrimp deviled egg mixture.
- Chill before serving: Refrigerate your filled eggs for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld together beautifully before serving.
Notes
Optional: Garnish with fresh dill or paprika for an extra pop of flavor and color.
