Prepare the Patties
- In a mixing bowl, combine grated zucchini, ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.
Cook the Burgers
- Preheat a griddle over medium-high heat. Place the patties on the griddle and smash them down with a spatula to create a crispy edge.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip and add cheese slices on top. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the burgers are cooked through.
Assemble the Burgers
- Toast the burger buns on the griddle. Place the cooked patties on the bottom half of each bun.
- Top with lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Cover with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, substitute ground beef with a plant-based meat alternative.
